The theme of our lesson today is “Once Upon A Time…” What stories, do you think always

begin with words: “Once Upon A Time…” (Tales).

So, today we are going to speak about tales.

Did you like to read tales when you were little children?

What tales did you like to read?

Today we are going to remember the tales you read when you were little children. And now

let’s revise some verbs which can help us. Repeat after me:

Did you read a story of Cinderella?

Let’s read what Cinderella tells about herself.

I am Cinderella. I get up very early every morning. I do a lot of work about the house. I am busy

all the day round. I cook food. I clean the rooms. I wash the clothes. I want to go to the ball very

much.

And now try and guess what Cinderella did yesterday.

Imagine that you are Cinderella. Tell us what you did yesterday.

And now let’s find out what Cinderella didn’t do yesterday. Ask her questions. (Did you play

tennis yesterday? - No, I didn’t. I didn’t play tennis yesterday.)

Imagine that you are Cinderella’s father. Tell us what Cinderella didn’t do yesterday.

“Goldilocks and the Three Bears». Look at the cards, and after listening to the tale you should

write on the cards “yes” if the statements are true to the text and “no” if the statements are not

true to the text.

There are a lot of places, where we go to enjoy ourselves in our free time. Let’s

Burger King

Burger King sells hamburgers, chicken burgers, French fries, milkshakes and

Boots is the biggest England’s shop of this kind. The first one opened in

Nottingham, England, in 1849. You can buy all sorts of medicine and beauty

Ham leys

Hamleys is a very large shop. It is nearly 250 years old. There are seven floors

selling everything for boys and girls from dolls to model cars and magic tricks.

About five million people visit Hamleys every year.

Waterstone’s

Waterstone’s is the biggest England’s shop of this type. Its first shop opened in

1982. It has every type of book, from crime novels to fairytales, and, of course,

Harry Potter! The two main Waterstone’s shops in Central London have over 14

miles of shelves!
