Тема урока: Travelling
through
Britain (Путешествие по Британии).
Тип урока - повторительно-обобщающий
Цель урока: систематизация и закрепление изученного материала по теме.
Задачи урока:
Обучающие :
- развитие умений иноязычной речевой деятельности: аудирования с полным пониманием
и с извлечением необходимой информации, говорения (монологической и диалогической
речи учащихся),
-совершенствование
речевой
активности
и
развитие
практических
речевых
умений
с
опорой на фотографии и картинки, с опорой на речевые клише.
Развивающие:
-развитие речемыслительной деятельности учащихся, языковой догадки, воображения,
умения работать в группе, умения высказать свое мнение и аргументировать его.
Воспитательные задачи:
- формирование адекватного восприятия и отношения к образу жизни и нормам поведения
в стране изучаемого языка, воспитание умения слушать других, формирование речевого
этикета и культуры общения на уроке.

Вводная часть
1)
T: Good morning, dear pupils and guests! I'm glad to see you. How are you children?
Спросить 3-4 ученика, обращаясь сразу к кому-то конкретно. Do you like to travel?
Have you ever been abroad? What countries have you visited?
Look at the blackboard.

So many countries all over the world,
So many people life tales told!
Different cities, languages, poems,
Amazing traditions, legends, stories.
We travel East, we travel West
To know so much is best,
If South is warm, North is cold,
We start our trip and off we go!

3. T: To start our travelling around GB we need some vocabulary. Look at the blackboard. These
expressions can be useful for us. Repeat after me: (на доске написаны). Here I have pictures of
some famous places in England. What are they known for? What are they connected with?

6) T: Have a look at the picture. Do you know this building?
P: Buckingham palace.
What do you know about it? Who lives in Buckingham palace?
P: Buckingham palace is the residence of Elizabeth II.

Look at the picture, use your imagination and give your ideas about the Queen`s typical day.

What does she have for breakfast?

What can the Queen and the Prime Minister discuss?
How many dogs has the Queen got?
Where do they sleep?
T: Ok, now read the text about Queen`s typical day and check it up.
The Queen’s day.
When the Queen gets up in the morning, seven people look after her. One starts her bath, one
prepares her clothes, and one feeds the Royal dogs. She has got 8 or 9 dogs, and they sleep in
their own bedroom near the Queen’s bedroom. Two people bring her breakfast. She has coffee,
toast and eggs. Every day for 15 minutes a piper plays Scottish music outside her room and the
Queen reads “The Times”. Every Tuesday evening she meets the Prime Minister. They talk about
world news and have a drink.

5) T: Now we have two different teams. ____ and _____ will be leaders of the group. On the
desks you have pieces of paper with words that describe things what the Queen likes and
dislikes. While I am reading the first group choose what things the Queen likes and the second
group- things which the Queen doesn`t like. Pick out the right piece of paper and stick it to the
blackboard. Are you ready? You should do it very quickly. Let’s start.
6)T: Children now let`s remember the sights of London and move a little bit . Some pupils have
the name of the sight and other- explanations. You must find your partner by choosing the right
explanation.
Oxford Street- is London's main shopping centre.
The Tower of London was a fortress, a palace, a prison, a zoo, and now it is a museum.
St Paul's Cathedral
was built after the Great Fire of London.
Regent's Park
is famous for its lake as well as for London Zoo.
The National Gallery
is London's biggest art museum.
7) Wonderful , children. I see that you know the sights of London. Now I would like to invite
