Fairy

A fairy is a type of mythical being

legendary

creature

in

English

folklore.

Fairies

are

generally

described as human in appearance

and having magical powers.

a

female

spirit

who

heralds the death of a family member,

usually

by

wailing,

shrieking,

or

keening.

Brownie

A brownie is a household spirit

from British folklore that is said to

come

out

at

night

while

the

owners of the house are asleep and

perform

various

chores

and

farming tasks.

Dragon

A dragon is a large, serpent-

like legendary creature.

Dragons

usually

depicted

as

wingless, four-legged, serpentine

creatures

with

above-average

intelligence.

Elf

An elf is a type of human-shaped

supernatural being. The elves seem

generally to have been thought of as

beings

with

magical

powers

and

supernatural beauty.

Giants

Giants are beings of

human

appearance,

but of prodigious size

and

strength.

giants

noted

for their stupidity.

Goblins

A goblin is a monstrous creature.

They are almost always small and

greedy,

especially

for

gold

and

jewelry. They often have magical

abilities.

Gremlin

A

gremlin

is

a

folkloric

mischievous

creature.

The

depictions

of

these

creatures

vary, usually with spiky backs,

large strange eyes, and small

clawed

frames

that

feature

sharp teeth.

Hobbit

The hobbits are between two and

four feet tall. They dress in bright

colors, favoring yellow and green.

They

are

usually

shy,

but

are

nevertheless

capable

of

great

courage and amazing feats.

Ork

Orks are a brutish, aggressive,

repulsive

and

g e n e r a l l y

malevolent species.

An

ork

is

a

fictional

humanoid creature.

Troll

Trolls

dwell

in

isolated

rocks,

mountains, or caves, live together

in small family units, and are rarely

helpful to human beings. They may

be ugly and slow-witted.

Werewolf

Werewolf is a human with

the ability to shapeshift into

a

wolf

either

purposely

or

after being placed under a

curse

or

affliction

and

especially on the night of a

full moon.
