Урок-игра по роману Майн Рида «Всадник без головы»

7-8 класс

(в рамках курса домашнего чтения по английскому языку).

Чтение художественной литературы на иностранном языке способствует развитию устной

речи, обогащает словарный запас, знакомит с культурой и литературой страны изучаемого

языка, развивает мышление. Поэтому уроки домашнего чтения необходимы в учебном

процессе. На этих уроках учащиеся сталкиваются с современным живым языком, а не

условно-учебным, также есть возможность высказать свое мнение и дать оценку

произведению, героям и ситуациям.

Урок-игра является завершающим уроком в учебном году в рамках курса домашнего

чтения по английскому языку. Книга Mayne Reid ‘The Headless Horseman’ уровня Pre-

Intermediate серии «Домашнее чтение» издательства «Айрис Пресс» адресована учащимся

7 – 8 классов общеобразовательных школ, лицеев и гимназий. Этот урок был проведен в

конце IV четверти, когда учащиеся закончили чтение книги.

В данной разработке представлены задания, которые выполняли ученики в ходе игры. Эти

задания и вопросы можно комбинировать, изменять, проводить в любом порядке, как

учитель сочтет целесообразным.

Учащиеся делятся на 2 или 3 команды, выбирают название и капитана.

Задание 1 «Собери имя»

Каждая команда получает набор букв, из которых они должны составить имя одного из

персонажей романа: CASIUS CALHOUN WOODLEY POINDEXTER HENRY
